Mobile-wallet payments are now a tender type at the till, alongside cash and card, and they reconcile against your accounts at day-end without anybody having to remember what happened.
Why this needed fixing
Most shops in Bangladesh already take bKash and Nagad. Very few POS systems admitted it. The common workaround was to ring the sale up as cash and keep the wallet transaction in a separate notebook, or in the cashier's head. That works right up until the drawer does not balance, and then there is no way to tell whether the gap is a mistake, a wallet payment nobody logged, or something worse.
Recording a wallet payment as cash is not a small inaccuracy. It makes the one number a shop owner checks every night (does the drawer match the system) stop meaning anything.
What changed
bKash and Nagad are now first-class tenders:
- Selectable at the till like any other payment method, including on a split bill where a customer pays part in cash and part by wallet.
- Carried through to the accounting ledger as their own line, so day-end shows cash, card and wallet separately.
- Reconciled against the drawer independently, which means a cash variance is now genuinely a cash variance.
- Reported on, so you can see what share of your takings has moved to wallets and how that is changing.
What it is not
This is a record-keeping change, not a payment gateway. MondayPOS records the tender and reconciles it; the money still moves through your own merchant account with the wallet provider, on their terms. We do not sit in the payment path and we do not take a cut of your takings.
